My art is inspired by my amazing memories of childhood, the wonder of my boys from our adventures and travels near and far, the nature and beauty that surrounds us, and the enchantment inside my own mind and heart.
As a surface pattern designer, I take great pride in the ability to evoke emotions and tell stories through my designs. Whether it's evoking a sense of joy and playfulness, creating a sweet and serene design, or adding a touch of whimsy and wonder, I strive to create patterns that connect with people and bring a sense of sweet and happy playfulness.
Whether you are a maker and crafter or a fellow artist and designer, I want to let you in on a truth that has taken most of my life to figure out. The truth is that the world needs you just as you are. It needs your talents and gifts. On days where you feel not good enough or start to compare, I pray you keep going. You are the only you there is. Just as no one else has your exact fingerprint, no one else is made up of your exact mix of gifts, life experiences, skills, and personality. Every one of us is needed. Each of us has a seat at the creative table. There is room for everyone because no one else will have your exact mix of talents. You are the only you and the only person that can bring to life the beautiful designs inside of you. Keep going, don't compare, and don't stop moving forward, friends.
